The
Hodge Manufacturing Company, founded in 1936, produces a wide
variety of material handling equipment for use in industrial and
commercial environment. The company became an industry leader by
offering quality products built to customer specifications. Edwin
Kossoy purchased the company in 1974 and continued its traditions of
quality and customer satisfaction. Continued growth and expansion
led, in 1976, to the construction of a larger facility and The Hodge
Manufacturing Company moved its present location at 55 Fisk Avenue
in Springfield, MA. In May 2003, The Durham Manufacturing Company
purchased the assets of Hodge Manufacturing. This
acquisition was a unique opportunity for both companies;
Hodge's line of non-powered material handling equipment complements
Durham's line of industrial and office storage products. Durham
has upgraded the Hodge plant to modernize the facility and introduce
new technologies to bring it in line with those of the main Durham
plant.
